My passion is math applied in real life, and engineering can fulfill my dreams as connection between mathematics and real world.

I was doing Technical Drawing in school as I really liked drawing and designing. Architecture was a good match for the things I liked. I did some work experience at an Architectural company in transition year and I enjoyed it which helped me decide to become an architect. But then I didn’t get enough points in the Leaving Certificate and I did not really have enough guidance in creating a portfolio of drawings or preparing for course entrance exam (Architecture also has an entrance exam in addition to the Leaving Certificate point). So I just didn’t get enough points to do architecture. Though I am very happy with Mechanical Engineering as I still get to draw (using 3D CAD) and design things!
