      I once applied for a job as a graduate engineer working in underdeveloped countries to help local villages to set up renewable energy sources for their communities. Part of the job was also to write a blog about my experience. Unfortunitely, I did not get the job.

      There is also a lot of opportunities in the marine industry for people who don’t mind working away from home for long periods of time. You can work on a research vessel in the Antarctic, see the link below:
